Austria
Visiting the 'Kehlsteinhaus' (Eagles Nest)in Austria which was intended as a 50th birthday present for Adolf Hitler to serve as a retreat, and a place for him to entertain visiting dignitaries. It was built within only 13 months & cost Germany the equivalent of 150 million euros. He only visited it about 10 times.
Being tourists on a cliff face at Eagles nest.
Having a "Maß", a litre of beer, at a beautiful old Biergarten at Müllner Bräu Brewery. The process for getting your beer is very specific, you wait to pay, then select mug, rinse Your mug in an old fountain and then this an old fella pours you a fresh one from the barrel.
The first sip is always the most satisfying

I thought it was so interesting that so many women in Salzburg were wearing traditional Dirndi dresses. I thought they all worked at a tourist restaurant or something but it's a huge fashion trend there and they take a lot of pride in wearing them.
